Amity University of India to be established in Tashkent
In the field of information technology and software products, Amity University (India) will be established in Tashkent. This is stated in the draft State Program “Year of Active Investments and Social Development”, which is based on the Actions Strategy along five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.
In this regard, the draft resolution of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan envisages:
• starting the activities of the University on the faculties Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Management from the 2019/2020 academic year;
• equipping and reconstructing the university’s educational building, equipping its classrooms and laboratories with modern equipment and technology based on the international standards;
• introducing curricula and programs in accordance with the international standards.
According to the draft presidential decree, Ministry of IT and Communications Development, Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education and Tashkent city administration should fulfill these tasks by August 01, 2019.
