SOCAR and BP to start geological explorations on three investment blocks of Uzbekistan
Azerbaijani SOCAR and British BP expressed their intention to start geological exploration on three investment blocks of the Ustyurt region, the press service of Uzbekneftegaz said.
In accordance with the report, the first deputy chairman of the board of JSC Uzbekneftegaz, Ulugbek Sayidov, discussed this issue with the vice-president of SOCAR B. Guseinov and senior expert of BP on oil management A. Javadov.
It was noted that partnership with companies is a priority for the oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan.
“Based on this, representatives of foreign companies were invited to explore the possibilities of joint geological exploration of the Aral Sea, Samsko-Koshbulak and Baiterek investment blocks of the Ustyurt region,” the report says.
Representatives of the delegations expressed their interest on the project and told about the meetings held on this issue in joint-stock companies “IGIRNIGM”, “Uzbekgeofizika” and “UzLITIneftegaz”.
