Ambassador of Uzbekistan presents his credentials to the Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg
On January 30, 2019, the ambassador of Uzbekistan with residence in Brussels, Dilyor Khakimov, presented his credentials to the Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, after the ceremony a conversation took place, during which the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for strengthening them were discussed.
“The Grand Duke of Luxembourg conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan sincere wishes for further success, welcoming the open foreign policy of Uzbekistan, in particular the intensification of interaction with the countries of Central Asia. At the same time, the efforts of Uzbekistan to ensure peace, security and prosperity in Afghanistan were particularly emphasized,” the Foreign Ministry said.
In the conversation, the importance of the forthcoming visit to Tashkent of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn was noted. The visit is expected to enhance bilateral cooperation, as well as ties between the European Union and Uzbekistan.
The head of Luxembourg stated that there is great potential for further expansion and deepening of relations between the two countries.
