French Freyssine to build a cement plant in Samarkand
A meeting with representatives of the French construction company Freyssinet was held at the JSC Uzbekistan Railways. The parties addressed the issues of organizing a new cement plant, whose work will be aimed at meeting the needs of the joint-stock company.
According to the press service of the JSC, the parties agreed to re-conduct geological surveys on the proposed area for construction (in the Pakhtachi district of the Samarkand region), as well as to introduce new technical equipment and modern technologies at the site.
Practical and methodological potential of the plant was also considered. In particular, the experts noted that the planned production capacity of the new enterprise will be about 1 million tons of high-quality cement products per year.
“During the meeting, issues of urban planning in Tashkent and new facilities of the capital were discussed. The parties exchanged views on the construction of new buildings and structures in modern design and unique style that meet international standards,” the reports reads.
