Shavkat Mirziyoyev calls attention to lack of personnel in the field of investment
On February 4, the President of Uzbekistan held a meeting on further expanding bilateral cooperation with Germany, France, India and the United Arab Emirates, in particular, ensuring unconditional implementation of the adopted roadmaps.
During the meeting, it was noted that some work has been done on business development and job creation through attracting investment in the domestic economy, but this is still not enough.
“There is lack of personnel in the field of investment. Work with investors needs to be improved and the existing infrastructure should be developed. Therefore, we still have much to do in this area and learn a lot. The country will not develop without a foreign investment,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Also, issues of attracting investments and financial capabilities of the UAE to Uzbekistan were discussed in the course of the meeting.
The need to ensure implementation of each project included in the roadmaps of quality and in a timely manner, the search for new partners for problematic projects were stressed.
It was noted that decisive actions and efforts aimed at the consistent development of mutually beneficial relations with foreign partners will serve the sustainable development of Uzbekistan and improvement of the welfare of people.
During the event, the information of responsible persons on the execution of agreements reached to attract foreign investment was heard.
