According to the TV channel “Dunyo buylab” (Around the World), it is planned to open the Humo Arena this spring.
Construction of the arena began in early 2017. Initially, it was expected that the multifunctional ice complex would be commissioned in the third quarter of 2018, then by the end of 2018.
It is reported that at the beginning of February, the work has been completed by 80–85%, about 4,000 people work here in general. The central arena will accommodate 12,000 people. It is planned to hold competitions in winter sports (hockey, short track, figure skating and curling), as well as to organize concerts, exhibitions and forums here.
The complex consists of seven floors, one of them is underground. The total area is 82,2 thousand square meters, height – 40 meters. Next to it, a four-story parking lot for 1600 cars is being built.
The LLC Wind Rose is engaged in the construction. It has attracted to the project about 10 partner companies from Germany, Russia, Austria, Spain, France, Italy and other countries. In particular, they are engaged in metal structures, acoustics, seats, ice, communications and other projects.
The total project cost is estimated at 1,5 trillion soums, $185 million of which is foreign investment.
