Kyrgyzstan proposes Uzbekistan to jointly explore Russian market
According to the Uzbek Ministry of Agriculture, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic Jyrgalbek Sagynbayev suggested Uzbekistan jointly supplying agricultural equipment of joint production to the market of the Russian Federation. This became known following the talks between the ministers of agriculture of the two countries, which took place in Tashkent.
“At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state of bilateral cooperation, noting separately the positive dynamics of the development of a multi-faceted partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Melioration of Kyrgyzstan voiced interest in organizing the supply of Kyrgyz potatoes, beef and other products to the market of Uzbekistan,” the report says.
Furthermore, the sides during the meeting considered the status of implementation of joint projects in such areas as engineering, livestock, seed production and others. In particular, negotiations were held between the Kyrgyz delegation and representatives of Uzagrotehsanoatholding JSC on the supply of agricultural equipment.
“We are in favor of effectively using the competitive advantages of our countries in the development of the agro-industrial sector of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan,” the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev said.
Following the talks, the parties reached an agreement on the creation of a joint working group and defined plans for 2019.
