New deputy chairman of the Central Bank appointed

Bobir Abubakirov was appointed deputy chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan. The corresponding decree was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on February 18.
In this position, he replaced Shukhrat Atabayev, who held the post since June 2017. Atabayev was appointed Chairman of the Board of JSCB Ipoteka Bank in November last year.
Previously, Bobir Abubakirov worked as director of the department of currency regulation and balance of payments of the Central Bank.
