Delegation of Uzbekistan takes part in MUNI EXPO 2019 in Israel
On February 25-28, 2019, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the first deputy khokim of the city of Tashkent Davron Khidoyatov visited Israel to participate in the exhibition of municipal modernization “MUNI EXPO 2019”, the MFA said.
MUNI EXPO is a large annual international exhibition organized for municipal leaders, city planners, architects and heads of urban improvement services, security, social security and public utilities.
In the course of the MUNI EXPO, the delegation established contacts with large Israeli companies that provide innovative technological solutions within the framework of effective municipal management, improving the mechanisms for providing services to the population, ensuring security and law.
Meetings were also held in the cities of Tel Aviv, Holon, Or-Yehuda. The Uzbek delegation got acquainted with the activities of municipalities, in particular in such areas as the work of municipal “call-centers” in receiving appeals from citizens, introducing the concepts of “smart city” and “safe city”, architectural planning, coordination of public services.
During the visit to the Holon Institute of Technology, its president, Professor Eduard Yakubov informed about the process of training specialists in the field of urban planning and urbanization, as well as practice of interaction between the academic circles, business and municipal bodies in the implementation of innovative developments.
