Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan to take part in CMD CIS competitions

On February 27, in Minsk (Republic of Belarus), a regular meeting of the Sports Committee under the Council of Ministers of Defense of the CIS member states was held. Representatives of the Uzbek Ministry of Defense took part in it.

The meeting addressed the implementation of the decision taken by the Council of Heads of State of the CIS on preparations for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, signed on September 28, 2018. The first military-sports games held among the cadets of the highest military educational institutions of the CIS member states were held in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event determined the holding of the 3rd Military Sports Games between the friendly armies of the CIS countries in 2020. Also, in the work of the Committee, positive decisions were made on holding the first competitions in group climbing of servicemen to Lenin Peak (Kyrgyzstan) in 2019 and Communism Peak (Tajikistan) in 2020.

And this year, an unprecedented competition is expected in the championships within the framework of the XIV Games of friendly armies of the CIS member states. In particular, in last year's tournament in army hand-to-hand combat, which was held in Tashkent, the team of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan won the top place in the podium. This year this tournament will be held in Kazakhstan.

The next two championships will be held in the Republic of Belarus in July this year.

Competitions in the framework of the Olympics on shooting from PM-3 and AK-3 will be held for the first time in Uzbekistan. Also, a triathlon championship will be organized in Russia.
