Uzbekistan, Russia discuss Program of Economic Cooperation for 2019-2024
On February 24-26, 2019, a delegation of Uzbekistan consisting of representatives of the Ministries of Economy and Industry, Investment and Foreign Trade, Health Care, Transport, Joint Stock Companies Uzbekistan Railways and Uzavtosanoat was in Moscow, the Embassy of our country in Russia reports.
During the meeting at the Ministry of Economic Development, the parties reviewed the implementation of projects included in the Program of Economic Cooperation between the Government of Russia and the Government of Uzbekistan for 2019-2024. The talks also discussed issues of assistance by the Russian partners in the process of Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO.
The dialogue with representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade was devoted to the possibilities of increasing industrial cooperation between the economic entities of the two countries. In particular, the projects that are being carried out jointly with the companies of Rostec State Corporation are discussed in detail. The Russian side also presented new practical investment proposals for joint implementation.
At the meeting with the leadership of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade, the coordination of efforts in the field of personnel training for various sectors of the economy, including trade and industry, was considered.
The delegation of our country also held talks with leading transport, logistics and telecommunication companies of Russia. In the Skolkovo Technopark, the delegation got acquainted with the conditions created for start-ups, medical clusters, principles of building a favorable environment for the emergence of successful technology companies.
