Swiss company Stadler to manufacture passenger wagons in Uzbekistan

Representatives of the JSC Uzbekistan Railways held talks with officials of the Swiss company Stadler.

During negotiations, the issue of organizing the territory for production of passenger cars in Uzbekistan was considered.

In addition, further prospects for exporting to the Central Asian regions and a number of other projects were discussed.

The Uzbek side has made proposals for introduction of the Swiss company’s modern technics and technology at industrial enterprises in the railway sector of our country, as well as supply of components and main traction systems for electric locomotives.

In particular, they discussed the exploiting in Uzbekistan modern metro trains and electric trains made in Switzerland.
