Uzbekistan starts to manufacture railway cars for people with disablity

The list of export products of the Tashkent plant for construction and repair of passenger carriages included a new wagon designed for people with disabilities.

The wagon is designed by plant design engineers in accordance with the requirements and suggestions of customers – it is a special compartment car of the type 61-931.

Taking into account the peculiarities of a physically limited category of citizens, entrance part of the car, compartment and corridor was expanded, a special device for lifting wheelchairs has been fixed.

60% of the new car is equipped according to the program of localization of production based on components of local production. In particular, these include: a carriage wagon, heating and cooling systems, an electric control panel, a special high and low voltage electrical device.

Recently, the plant has planned to hold a presentation of special cars for people with disabilities in Kazakhstan. The first cars of the new modification are ready for operation and will soon be introduced into the train compositions of international traffic.

The JSC “Tashkent plant for construction and repair of passenger wagons” exports carriages of second-class and compartment type.
