Citizen of Uzbekistan to face trial in St. Petersburg for funding terrorist organization
The court in St. Petersburg is considering a criminal case against a female citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan accused of supporting terrorist activities, the press service of the regional Investigation Committee of Internal Affairs Department of Russia reports.
According to the Investigative report, a 39-year-old woman living St. Petersburg, Russia, from June 2016 to October 2017, transferred money from her personal account in the bank to Turkey and Azerbaijan, she intended to finance terrorist activities. She received funds from various individuals, including members of the ISIS. In general, the woman sent more than half a million rubles ($7,800).
Reportedly, the convict lives in St. Petersburg since 2007. She has worked as a manager at “Peterland” trading center. The criminal case was submitted to the court for consideration.
