Shavkat Mirziyoyev condemns Quetta train blast, extends sympathies to Pakistani authorities
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent a letter of condolence to Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif following a devastating terrorist attack in the city of Quetta, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.
The tragedy occurred in the Balochistan province of southwestern Pakistan this past Sunday. A suicide bomber targeted a passenger train, leaving at least 20 people dead and another 70 injured.
The passengers aboard the train were predominantly military personnel and their families who were traveling back home to celebrate the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday.
The president expressed deep words of sympathy and support to the families and loved ones of those killed in the blast, while wishing a swift and complete recovery to all the injured victims.
