Turkey to support Islamic scientific schools in Uzbekistan
The Turkish side is ready to support Islamic scientific schools in Uzbekistan. This was announced by the Turkish Ambassador to Uzbekistan Mehmet Sureyya Er during a meeting with the chairman of the Committee on religious affairs Jasur Akramov and the chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan mufti Usmankhon Alimov, the press service of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan reports.
According to him, over the past two and a half years, relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey have risen to a new level. Multilateral relations have developed and agreements have been reached in the political, economic and social spheres. “The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the International Islamic Academy, international research centers and Aqidah (creed) scientific schools have begun their work,” the ambassador said.
He also said that he is ready to contribute to strengthening of the material-technical base of these schools and further development of their information-resource centers. The sides also discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of cooperation in the religious and educational spheres.
