“Uzbekistan has chosen correct formula for success” First Deputy Chairman of CB
Uzbekistan chose the best formula for success in carrying out reforms, Timur Ishmetov, First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank, said on Thursday at the international financial and banking forum in Tashkent.
Ishmetov noted that in the last 2 and a half years large-scale reforms have been carried out in Uzbekistan. “Despite the multidirectionality of all the reforms, they have a single spirit. This is creating new opportunities for the people of Uzbekistan to have a decent and happy life,” he said.
“We understand that the real difficulties are still ahead. But that does not stop us. The experience we have gained gives us confidence. It will be right to say that we have chosen the correct formula for success,” the deputy chairman of the Central Bank stated.
According to him, this concerns the political will to carry out reforms, as well as “the ability to allow experts from their own industries to do their work, to invest their knowledge and skills in the development of the country.” Ishmetov highlighted cooperation with international financial institutions as an important direction for success.
