Swiss Special Water Envoy visits Uzbekistan

On April 1, Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met with Guy Bonvin, Swiss Special Water Envoy, who arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit, the press service of the MFA reported.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on key aspects of Uzbekistan – Swiss relations, including within the framework of international structures.

Interaction priorities in such areas as integrated water resources management, water supply to the rural population, in which Switzerland has considerable experience were considered at the meeting.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further development of multifaceted and mutually beneficial relations, including implementation of the Swiss Cooperation Strategy for Central Asia 2017-2020.
