Uzbekistan and Switzerland discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muzaffar Madrahimov held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Uzbekistan, Konstantin Obolensky.
According to the Foreign Ministry’s press service, the meeting focused on current issues and the prospects for further strengthening political dialogue, as well as trade, economic, investment, financial and technical, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The sides also discussed their interaction within international organizations and reviewed plans for joint activities in 2026.
Special attention was given to the practical implementation of measures to deepen bilateral relations, which were agreed during the talks between the foreign ministers of the two countries held in Bern on 16 October this year.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to hold a series of joint events, including political consultations between the foreign ministries, the next session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, the “Swiss Economy Days in Uzbekistan”, as well as mutual delegation visits.
