Obstetrician-gynecologist in Tashkent region fakes death of a newborn, sells her for $100

Prosecutor General’s Office, together with the internal affairs agencies, discovered a case where an obstetrician-gynecologist of the maternity hospital at the medical association of Yangiyul district, Tashkent region, reported to citizen Z. E. that her daughter, born on April 1, had allegedly died and sold the newborn for $100.

Without registering it in any way, an obstetrician-gynecologist issued a citizen S.M. fake documents confirming that she had given birth to this child.

Regarding this fact, a criminal case was initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, investigative actions are underway.
