Uzbekistan conducts joint exercises of military structures
From 9 to 13 April in the Fergana, Andijan and Namangan regions, under the leadership of the First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, Major General Pavel Ergashev, a joint command and staff exercises are to be held.
The goal of the event is to clarify the procedure for implementation of joint actions by all competent bodies of the Armed Forces, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported.
The exercises involve special forces of the Ministries of Defense, Interior, Emergency Situations, Border Troops, several units of the State Security Service, the National Guard, the State Customs Committee, local authorities and other relevant bodies.
“Within the framework of the exercise, troops are given the highest levels of alert. In practice, the issues of entering subunits in the areas of combat training tasks have been worked out,” the Ministry of Defense emphasized.
In the course of the exercise, all the ranges of the Eastern Military District are involved, where units of law enforcement agencies in practice carry out joint activities to counter modern security challenges and threats.
