Uzbek-Korean e-government center to open in Tashkent
On April 12, a delegation of the Republic of Korea headed by the President of the National Information Society Agency of the Republic of Korea (NIA) Mr. Moon Yong-sik paid an official visit to Uzbekistan.
The meeting of the Korean delegation and representatives of the E-government & Digital Economy Project Management Center was held at the National Agency for Project Management under the President of Uzbekistan.
During the talks, the opening of the Uzbek-Korean Center in Tashkent for cooperation in the field of e-government and digital economy, organizing short-term and long-term training courses for Agency specialists, attracting Korean experts to work out a draft e-government development concept of Uzbekistan, as well as assistance in creating a single data center were discussed by the parties.
The sides agreed on setting up a working group for coordinating the issues on the opening of the Uzbek-Korean Center in Tashkent.
Following the talks, representatives of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
