Economic courts collected over 247.6 billion soums to the benefit of entrepreneurs in January-March 2019
In the first quarter of 2019, 46,001 cases were studied by economic courts. At the same time, court decisions were taken on the recovery of more than 2.3 trillion soums in favor of the plaintiffs. The number of cases reviewed decreased by 56.7% compared to the same period of last year. The press service of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan reports about it.
According to statistics, over the past period, the largest number of cases was considered by economic courts of the city of Tashkent, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Andijan regions.
In order to create convenience for the parties and improve efficiency of the administration of justice, most of the economic cases considered in the procedure of action proceedings, that is, 28,742 cases were examined directly at places during the mobile court sessions.
1,065 economic cases were reviewed by economic courts in the mode of video conferencing, which, as a result, allowed the parties to save money in the amount of more than 714.1 million soums.
7 405 cases relating to protection of the rights of small businesses and private entrepreneurship were considered and more than 247.6 billion soums were recovered in their favor.
During the reporting period, the main part of the cases examined by economic courts was formed by cases arising from agreements for the supply of products, contracts and provision of utility services.
In addition, the Judicial Board for economic affairs of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan reviewed 144 supervisory complaints and protests under the supervisory review procedure. 83 decisions of lower courts were revoked and 29 judicial acts were changed.
