Uzbekistan, Belarus sign co-op agreements
On April 15, a delegation of the Tashkent city administration and the Minsk city executive committee signed agreements on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation. It is planned to conclude an agreement on the status of fraternal cities between Tashkent and Minsk, the press service of the Tashkent city administration reported.
During their stay in the Belarusian capital, the delegation of Uzbekistan visited the Minsk scientific-practical center for surgery, transplantology and hematology as well as “Belkommunmash”, manufacturer of electric public transport vehicles.
The head of the sales department in the CIS countries of “Belkommunmash” Vitaliy Shkuratov noted that this year, an E420 Vitovt Electro electric bus will appear in Tashkent, equipped with air conditioning. A route has already been developed for it, a platform is being prepared for the charging station, minsknews.by writes. If the trial operation is successful, the parties will consider conclusion of a contract for the supply of equipment.
Last year, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belarus reached $86.5 million. In Tashkent, there are 32 enterprises with Belarusian capital, including “Amkador-Agrotechmash”, “MAZ-Tashkent” and “Belpharm” joint ventures.
