Lukoil is not planning to develop network of petrol stations in Uzbekistan
Lukoil is not making plans to develop a network of petrol stations in Uzbekistan. This was announced by the president of the company Vagit Alekperov, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
“Here [in Uzbekistan] there is a fairly large number of gas stations, a fairly competitive market. We already have one station in Tashkent. We believe that this is enough. If further cooperation is required, we will be happy to act as partners for private businessmen on the territory of Uzbekistan,” said Alekperov after the on-site meeting of the board of directors, which was held today in the territory of the Kandym gas processing complex in the Bukhara region.
It should be recalled that the opening of the first and so far the only Lukoil gas station in Uzbekistan took place in March 2018 in Tashkent.
Representatives of the company said they had agreements with the government of Uzbekistan to increase the number of filling stations and create a full-fledged network.
At the first stage, according to Uzbekneftegaz, it was planned to build a network of gas stations along the Tashkent ring road, and then in other regions.
