President Mirziyoyev conducts talks with President Lukashenko in China
On April 25, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in the residence assigned to him in Beijing.
As reported by the press service of the head of state, President Lukashenko’s visit to Uzbekistan last year opened a new page in the history of bilateral relations, brought them to a qualitatively new level and filled them with practical content.
The meeting reviewed in detail the implementation of the agreements reached in 2018. The leaders noted with satisfaction the dynamic growth of trade.
Cooperation projects with leading Belarusian companies Amkodor, MAZ, MTZ and others in various industries are being successfully implemented. The exchange between the regions of the two countries has noticeably intensified. Effective cooperation in the field of science, technology and education has strengthened.
Strong trust and a resolute mutual disposition to achieve concrete practical results provide ample opportunities for further expansion and strengthening of cooperation.
During the meeting, issues of increasing mutual trade, implementing joint innovative programs and cooperation projects in the field of engineering, agriculture, food industry, information technology, medicine, pharmaceuticals, tourism, developing collaboration in education, culture and other areas were discussed.
An exchange of views on issues of the international and regional agenda also took place.
The heads of state expressed their readiness to continue an active dialogue at different levels in order to effectively promote new areas of partnership.
