Military intelligence officers of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan enhance cooperation in practice
On April 23-26, a joint training of intelligence personnel of the defense departments of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan was held at the “Fakhrabad” military training camp in Tajikistan.
At the training, the military personnel of the two states exchanged experiences and in practice worked out options for joint actions to identify and eliminate conditional threats of terrorism, which today are most relevant for the states of Central Asia.
Considering the specifics of the tasks performed by military intelligence officers, as well as the forms and methods of activities of terrorist organizations in contemporary conflicts, joint exercises were organized during daytime and night.
Officers and sergeants of the two countries jointly honed their skills and shared their knowledge of mountain training, engineering, first aid in the field conditions, and other areas needed in military intelligence.
The greatest interest of the parties was manifested in the course of tactical and special training sessions, which were held on areas with different landscapes, including in the training village.
The high level of organization of joint training allowed to hold it in a warm and friendly atmosphere, which was felt during classes and cultural-leisure activities.
Torrential rains, which lasted almost the entire period of the event, once again confirmed the resilience of the intelligence officers of the two states and their desire to jointly increase their combat capabilities.
The training conducted is a practical continuation in strengthening good-neighborly Uzbek-Tajik relations, strengthening open and mutually beneficial cooperation between the defense ministries, as well as vivid evidence of a mutual desire to ensure regional security.
It should be recalled that in September 2018 in the territory of Tajikistan, for the first time, joint military exercises of special units of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were held under the name “Combat Commonwealth - 2018”.
