After 12-year hiatus, Uzbekistan to take part in Military World Games
Uzbekistan will take part in the Military World Games, which will be held on October 18-27 in the city of Wuhan, China, the Defense Ministry told Kun.uz.
“The army athletes of the Defense Ministry of Uzbekistan, after 12-year hiatus, are again planning to take part in these prestigious military competitions,” the ministry’s press service noted.
Representatives of the Armed Forces General Staff and the Sports Club of the Ministry of Defense attended the 74th CISM General Assembly and Congress, which was held from 22 to 30 April in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The event examined the preparatory stages for the VII Military World Games, the drawing of lots and the schedule of international sporting events for 2020-2021.
It should be noted that 136 army teams applied to participate in 27 different kinds of sports in the Military World Games.
