Shavkat Mirziyoyev to receive Russian FM
On 2 May 2019, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov will arrive in Uzbekistan on a working visit.
According to the press service of the MFA, the Russian Foreign Minister will be received by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The program of the visit envisages bilateral negotiations in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, during which it is planned to discuss the implementation of the previously reached Uzbek-Russian agreements in political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
The sides will exchange views on international issues and security matters in the region, including facilitating the launch of the peace process in Afghanistan.
On May 3, Minister Sergey Lavrov will take part in the 11th meeting of MOU on Sub-regional Drug Control Cooperation, which will be held in Tashkent.
