Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia discuss President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to RF

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, during his visit to Tashkent, discussed the preparation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to Russia, Foreign Ministry of the RF reported.
“The visit to Tashkent showed a high degree of trustful Russian-Uzbek dialogue, which allowed to identify priorities in preparing for President Mirziyoyev’s visit to Russia this year,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
On May 2-3, Sergey Lavrov paid a working visit to Tashkent, where he held talks with the President and the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan.
“The parties reviewed the most pressing issues of bilateral relations, exchanged views on international and regional matters. Special attention was paid to the situation in the inter-Afghan settlement,” the report reads.
Lavrov also took part in the ministerial segment of 11th meeting of MOU on Sub-regional Drug Control Cooperation.
