DerVase to launch Ravon car production in Russia in the second half of 2019
Manufacturing of Ravon cars in Russia will be launched in the second half of 2019. This was announced by the head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov.
“A difficult situation is developing at the DerVase car assembly plant, which is specialized in assembling Chinese brands Lifan and Chery. Currently, production is suspended. As one of the possible options for starting the car assembly process, we see the following: within the framework of economic cooperation between Russia and the Republic of Uzbekistan, promising joint projects were approved, including the DerVase project. At present, DerVase is undergoing production certification. From the second half of the year, the plant intends to start implementing a project for the assembly production of Ravon cars,” he said.
It should be recalled that deliveries of cars under the brand name Ravon to Russia were suspended in the late spring of 2018. Over the past year, the manufacturer has not sold a single car in the Russian Federation. The reason was revision of the pricing policy, the company assured.
