MCCCI delegation to visit Uzbekistan in July

On June 11, 2019, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov met with the Secretary General of the Malacca Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) Go Xu.

MCCCI was established in 1915 and its main activity is to assist its members in identifying foreign partners for investment projects and trading operations.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of further developing mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment cooperation. The Malaysian side was informed about ongoing large-scale economic reforms in the republic, including in monetary policy, free economic zones, favorable conditions for doing business and others.

Following the negotiations, the below agreements were reached:

- organization of MCCCI leadership’s visit to Uzbekistan on July 7-11 to hold a round table and B2B meetings with the help of Chamber of Commerce of the republic. The delegation will include representatives of leading Malaysian companies operating in the automotive industry, metallurgy, construction materials, medical devices, ICT, and others;

- study of the prospects for the implementation of investment projects and the development of cooperation in the organization of export deliveries of Uzbek products to Malaysia.
