AFC President promises to support Ravshan Irmatov in developing Uzbek football
A telephone conversation took place between the AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa and Vice-President of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) Ravshan Irmatov.
At the beginning of the conversation, Sheikh Salman sincerely congratulated Ravshan Irmatov on his new appointment and wished him success in the new post, the UFA reported.
In the course of the talk, readiness was expressed to establish a new stage of cooperation between the Uzbekistan Football Association and the Asian Football Confederation. It was particularly emphasized that the AFC is ready to provide comprehensive support to the UFA in development of Uzbekistan’s football.
During the conversation, the parties also exchanged views on various topical issues, prospects for cooperation and discussed plans for the near future.
Sheikh Salman and Ravshan Irmatov emphasized the importance of further building up a multi-faceted partnership, implementing new projects and programs, and agreed to bring mutual trust to a new level with mutual consideration of interests.
It should be recalled that the FIFA referee Irmatov was elected acting deputy president of the Association at a meeting of the UFA Executive Committee on June 14.
