Uzbekistan, Germany and Indonesia express readiness to host Afghan peace talks
Sibghatullah Ahmadi, Spokesperson and Director General of Communication of the Afghan Foreign Ministry, said that Uzbekistan, Germany and Indonesia had offered to host the Afghan peace talks, TRT International reports.
According to the Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson, the talks had reached a stage where practical conclusions could soon be reached.
Earlier, on March 31, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani received in Kabul the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov. During the talks, Kamilov said that if the Taliban are ready to hold negotiations with the Afghan government, then Uzbekistan would be ready to host the meeting.
