German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrives in Uzbekistan for official visit
President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, accompanied by his wife Elke Büdenbender, has arrived in Uzbekistan for an official visit.
The German delegation was received at the Tashkent–Humo International Airport by Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Achilbay Ramatov alongside other government officials.
According to the itinerary of the visit, high-level negotiations between the heads of state will take place in both narrow and expanded formats. The upcoming discussions will focus heavily on deepening multi–faceted relations and enhancing strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany.
Special emphasis during the talks will be placed on expanding practical bilateral cooperation across key economic sectors, including trade, industrial partnership, transport, logistics, and agriculture. The two countries also intend to focus on joint initiatives within the pharmaceutical, chemical, and energy industries, with a particular spotlight on the deployment of green technologies.
Furthermore, the leaders will explore opportunities to intensify educational and humanitarian exchanges, while exchanging views on pressing issues on the international and regional agendas.
A number of new joint projects and development programs are scheduled to be launched over the course of the official visit.
