Sleepy driver loses control of the car, drives into a canal in Tashkent region

On July 1, a resident of the Kibray district fell asleep while driving, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reports.

“In a few seconds, the car moved down to the “Bozsu” canal flowing nearby. Reportedly, the lady driver was able to get out of the sinking car through the windshield. Floating down several dozens of meters, she went ashore,” the MES noted.

MES rescue team arrived at the scene of the incident and promptly pulled the car out of the river. On her social media page, the woman expressed her gratitude to the MES employees for their well-coordinated and professional work.
