Online payments in Uzbekistan are growing faster than payments through terminals – Common Republican Processing Center
In Uzbekistan, the sum of online payments are growing faster than offline ones, it follows from the statistics of the Common Republican Processing Center.
In Q2, the total amount of online payment transactions amounted to 3.5 trillion soums, which is 999 billion soums more than in Q1.
Despite the solid growth, it is still several times less compared to the amount of offline payments through the terminals – 19.7 trillion soums. However, the amount of online payments is growing much faster – 13.7% against 2.7%.
If we talk about the number of transactions, then online payments are growing slower – 2.2% against 2.7%. In total, from April to June, 75.3 million online transactions and 135.3 million offline transactions were made through terminals.
