Border guards of Belarus, Uzbekistan approve cooperation plan

Border authorities of Belarus and Uzbekistan have signed a cooperation plan for 2020-2021, the press service of the Belarusian State Border Committee reported.
According to the report on the committee’s website, a working meeting was held in Tashkent between the chairman of the State Border Committee of Belarus Anatoly Lappo and the deputy chairman of the State Security Service, commander of the SSS border forces of Uzbekistan Ruslan Mirzayev.
“As part of the event, the parties signed a cooperation plan for 2020-2021,” the report reads.
As the press service states, the border authority leaders exchanged views on the situation at the state border, the existing trends in its development, threats and problematic issues that affect the state of border security. During the meeting, experience was exchanged in the areas of operational-service activities of border authorities, and organization of pedestrian traffic at road checkpoints across the state border was studied.
