Shavkat Mirziyoyev signs bill “On tourism” into law
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the bill “On tourism” into law.
According to the State Committee for Toursim Development, tourist information centers will be created in order to inform individuals and legal entities about the tourist facilities in the country.
In accordance with the law, tour operators and travel agents will carry out their activities only with a license.
The license is issued for an indefinite period of time.
Individual entrepreneur, who provides excursion services, is not required to obtain a license in order to be engaged in tourist activities.
Guides (guide-interpreters) can provide services independently without forming a legal entity after receiving the appropriate certificate issued by the Committee.
The State Committee for Tourism Development will develop a National tourism brand of Uzbekistan.
The law comes into force after three months from the date of its official publication.
