Foreign Ministry: Uzbekistan will create all necessary conditions for inter-Afghan dialogue in Samarkand
Uzbekistan confirms its readiness to create all necessary conditions for the next round of inclusive inter-Afghan dialogue in the city of Samarkand and expresses hope for the success of the upcoming talks, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan welcomes the decision made on the Inter-Afghan Conference in Doha and the Joint Resolution on Peace adopted by its participants.
“The time of the Samarkand meeting will be announced as soon as it is agreed with all the participants of the inter-Afghan talks,” the report says.
Uzbekistan once again reaffirms its position on the Afghan issue and states that the political process in Afghanistan should be carried out by the Afghan people themselves under their leadership.
