Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulates new British PM Boris Johnson

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Boris Johnson on his appointment as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the presidential press service reports.

Boris Johnson took office with a resounding pledge to defy the “doubters and the doomsters” by taking the country out of the European Union by the end of October.

In accordance with British constitutional protocol, he was officially invited to form a government by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday afternoon, after winning the race to replace Theresa May as leader of the governing Conservative Party earlier this week.
