Two new city-complexes to be built in Fergana region

Two new city-complexes will appear in the Fergana region, follows from the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers. The document approves a list of 546 investment projects, which are planned to be implemented in the region in the coming years.

The first complex, Smart City, will appear on the territory of the “Kokand” free economic zone. The project is estimated at 4.1 trillion soums.

It is planned that a Chinese company, initiator of the project, will invest $500 million. The complex will be commissioned at the end of 2025.

Another large-scale complex – New City Fergana, will be on the territory of Fergana. The initiator of the project is another Chinese company Chung construction design group. 

This project is estimated at 1.2 trillion soums. The volume of foreign investment is $150 million. Commissioning is scheduled for the end of 2020.
