“Uzbekistan and Belarus are not rival countries” - Ambassador
Uzbekistan considers cooperation with Belarus in IT sector as important, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Belarus Nosirjon Yusupov told a press briefing, BelTA reported.
According to the head of the diplomatic mission, the topic will be discussed among other themes during the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Minsk on July 31-August 1.
The program of the official visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev will include the tour of the Hi-Tech Park. The ambassador stated that Belarus has made great progress in IT sector, as well as in many other fields. He spoke about Uzbekistan's interest in the development of contacts with Belarus, including in agriculture and cattle breeding in particular.
According to the diplomat, Uzbekistan and Belarus are not rival countries. Their economies complement each other. The two countries need to unite efforts and cooperate with mutual profit.
