Swiss Mabetex Group to build new terminal for Tashkent-Vostochny airport

B&A Contractors S.A. and IT Engineering S.A., which are part of the Swiss Mabetex Group, will build a terminal for the Tashkent-Vostochny airport. The press service of Uzbekistan Airways reported about the conclusion of a contract.
The terminal will serve 1,000 passengers per hour. Authors of the project took into account its functional purpose and the needs of passengers of all classes.
“The new terminal is equipped with modern engineering and technological equipment that meets international requirements. In particular, it consists of an automated cargo receiving system, a self-propelled registration device, special technical means of verification, a special terminal management system, a telescopic ladder, an aircraft parking system, information boards,” the company noted.
The new airport will be a three-story facility. There will be two runways, aprons and platforms, as well as a terminal capable of serving 1,000 passengers per hour.
The facility is scheduled to be commissioned in the second half of 2021.
