Price for tinting expected to be reduced
The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov promised to solve the problems with tinting in no time. He announced this at a video-conference meeting.
“When drivers were required to turn on the headlights, many were unhappy with the decision. The state took into account the opinion of the people and the requirement for many drivers was abolished. The Cabinet of Ministers has already adopted a relevant document on tinting. We hope this will positively affect the mood of residents,” Aripov said.
It should be recalled that from August 1, 2018 tinting is allowed in Uzbekistan.
According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, the rate of payments for issuing a permit and tinting glasses is 90 MMW (18,245,700 million soums) for individuals, 120 MMW (24,327,600 soums)– for legal entities. At the same time, legal entities of foreign states pay 140 MMW (28,382,200 soums).
Recently, deputy head of the Presidential Security Service Otabek Umarov also expressed his opinion on tinting via his Instagram page.
“Many people turn to me on this issue. I decided to express my opinion, as some attribute it to security matters. Tinting is becoming an issue of concern, especially considering the hot weather. We have already given our conclusions and opinions on the matter. Currently, the relevant departments are studying foreign experience,” he said.
Otabek Umarov stressed that tinting the car does not pose any problem to ensuring security.
