Private university illegally accepts applications for admission in Kashkadarya

A private university in Uzbekistan, which does not have a license, illegally accepts applications for admission, Nuz.uz reports.

Non-governmental International Socio-Economic University in the city of Karshi is not licensed, but students were asked to pay 101,365 soums for submitting documents.

Moreover, the university itself will not conduct exams, and the university administration promises to accept everyone who pays the tuition.

The State Inspectorate has already sent a letter about the university’s illegal activities to the administration of the Kashkadarya region.

Reportedly, this university has repeatedly applied to the Inspectorate for a license. However, it was refused due to the fact that it does not meet the requirements and standards for the provision of educational services, it does not have its own building. It is not equipped with modern information and communication equipment and technical facilities.

It should be recalled that entrance examinations to universities are currently taking place throughout Uzbekistan.

The first tests will end in the Surkhandarya region on August 8, then in the Tashkent, Namangan and Syrdarya regions – on August 10, in the Kashkadarya, Andijan, Khorezm, Samarkand regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan – on August 11, and in the Bukhara region – on August 13-14.

To date, 930,000 applicants have received permission to take tests. One can watch the test organization process on the website test2019.uz.
