On August 2, the regular meeting of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis took place. At the meeting, the deputies considered a number of bills aimed at legal support of the reforms implemented in the country.
In particular, the first issue on the agenda was the bill “On the participation of citizens in the protection of public order”, which was discussed in the second reading. According to parliamentarians, it does not streamline issues of long-term cooperation and simultaneous assistance of citizens with law enforcement agencies in the field of public order protection, there are no guarantees of confidentiality of data on persons notifying law enforcement agencies about possible facts of threat to public order.
Despite the concrete solution of most of the issues in this draft law, the deputies noted the need to clarify certain rules, considered it appropriate to finalize this document in the committee for the effective operation in future practice. As a result, the draft document was returned to the committee.
