President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow proposed to neighboring countries to create an innovative city “Caspian”, RIA Novosti reports.
“We consider it expedient to form a really important platform for a technological and innovative start. To this end, we propose creating an international innovation and technology center. It can be called the innovative city of Caspian. Here, in this peculiar laboratory of ideas, scientists, specialists in fundamental and applied science near-Caspian and others states are working together to create a new technology plan for the Caspian,” Berdimuhamedov suggested, speaking at the opening of the Caspian Economic Forum in the resort zone “Avaza” in Turkmenistan.
According to the president, digital clusters will be created in the innovative city.
However, Berdimuhamedov did not specify where such a city will be built.
