Uzbek-Chinese cooperation in the Afghan direction to strengthen
On August 14, 2019, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China Jian Yang, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the promotion of the inter-Afghan peace process, the prospects for the implementation of large infrastructure projects in Afghanistan, and the current state of the Uzbek-Chinese cooperation to assist in the training of Afghan personnel.
The head of the diplomatic mission of the PRC expressed gratitude for the efforts of Tashkent to launch triangular cooperation between Uzbekistan, China and Afghanistan to train agricultural specialists of the IRA at the Educational Center for the Training of Afghan Citizens in Termez.
Mutual readiness was expressed to expand the scope of cooperation in this area.
Stressing the constructive nature of the Uzbek-Chinese cooperation in the Afghan direction, the parties agreed to continue a regular exchange of views between the special representatives of the two countries on Afghanistan.
