A video footage went viral on social networks that captured the unsightly scene that took place in the Taylak district of the Samarkand region.
There, police officers of the district, wringing the hands of several women, pushed them into a special vehicle. Kun.uz correspondent went to the district police department to find out the details of the incident in the village of Kutirbulak.
Reportedly, in 2016, a resident of Taylak S. J. decided to build a house on the land owned by the LLC Afsona travel. On May 14, 2019, this citizen was given an order that his construction was illegal and he began to demolish it himself on June 5 of this year.
During demolition of the house, women – members of the S. J. family stoned the excavator driver. A lot of people gathered, riots began. Employees of the Taylak police department arrived at the place and tried to calm down the population. However, the women showed active resistance to law enforcement officers, after which some of them were placed in cars, and an “explanatory work” was carried out with rioters.
The main point of this video is not the demolition of the house but the pushing of women with their wrinkled hands into the police department’s special vehicle. For this reason, Kun.uz correspondent turned to the head of the district police department. According to the Lt. Col. Maruf Shermukhammedov, women staged riots during the demolition of an illegally constructed building in Kutirbulak. He said that women on four sides stoned the excavator.
As a result, police officers were forced to intervene and take control of the situation. According to police officers, the women, filmed on the video, offered them active resistance. As the Lt. Col. Maruf Shermukhammedov says, during riots they do not pay attention to the gender of instigators.
It was not possible to establish who and for what purpose shot this video. But, in the opinion of the district khokim, it was circulated in order to discredit the good name of the Taylak district and personally him – the khokim.
By the way, as the Kun.uz correspondent was informed by citizen S.Zh., who, according to the received order, personally demolished the house he built, was tired of giving interviews every single day and was very angry with the fact that his domestic troubles became the subject of discussion on the Internet.
